Enset AI Privacy Policy

Who we are:
Enset AI is provided by Deep Impact AI, LLC (“Deep Impact AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), 8 The Green, Suite A, Dover, DE 19901, USA.

Scope:
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you use the Enset AI mobile application and related services in Ethiopia, Kenya, and the United States.

Personal data we collect:

Account data: Phone number (for OTP sign-in); language/locale (Amharic/English).
Farm data: Farm profile fields (e.g., farm name, crop, notes); farm photos you upload.
Location: Precise location only if you choose “Use my location” or place a map pin for a farm. No background or continuous GPS.
Device/Identifiers: Device/instance ID and push notification token for security and notifications.
Technical logs (minimal): OS, app version, and similar technical data for security and diagnostics.

We do NOT collect analytics/usage statistics, advertising IDs, payment/financial data, contacts, health/biometric data, or microphone audio.

How we use personal data:

Provide and maintain the App (account, authentication, farm profiles/photos, mapping).
Weather and alerts: Fetch per-farm weather and send catastrophic event alerts by push and in-app; alerts expire when the event passes or is cancelled/updated.
Security, fraud prevention, and abuse prevention.
Customer support and service communications (e.g., OTP, critical notices).

Legal bases (where applicable):

Contract and/or legitimate interests: to provide core functionality and security.
Consent: for optional features such as one-time GPS use and push notifications (you can disable these in settings).

Sharing and processors (no sale or cross-app tracking):
We do not sell personal data and do not use personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use third-party processors acting on our behalf:

AWS S3 (hosting/storage).
Google Maps SDK (map tiles; coordinates only when you request location features).
FCM (Android) and APNs (iOS) for push delivery (using your push token).
Planette API and Google Weather (weather data using farm coordinates).

These providers may process data on servers outside your country.

International transfers:
Primary storage is in the AWS Africa region. Data may be processed or transmitted in other locations where our processors operate. Where legally required, we use appropriate contractual and technical safeguards.

Retention:

Phone number and account data: retained for the life of the account plus 12 months.
Farm profiles and photos: retained until you delete them or delete your account.
Server logs (minimal): retained for 90–180 days.
Push tokens: retained while notifications are enabled.

We may retain data longer if required by law, for dispute resolution, or for security.

Your rights and choices:
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing. California residents may exercise rights under CCPA/CPRA. Kenya residents may contact the ODPC. To exercise rights or appeal a decision, email info@deepimpactai.com.

Children:
The App is intended for users 18+ and is not directed to children.

Security:
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls, and limited employee access.

Account deletion:
You can delete your account in-app. If you cannot access the App, visit our Account Deletion page (URL to be published in your store listing) or email info@deepimpactai.com with the subject “Delete my Enset AI account.” Deleting your account removes your profile and associated personal data that we are not legally required to keep.

Changes to this Policy:
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App or by other reasonable means.
