This recognition highlights Alabaster’s innovative work in promoting the cultivation of Enset—a resilient, drought-tolerant crop that enhances food security and environmental sustainability across East African communities.

The Food Planet Prize longlist represents 39 exceptional initiatives selected from nearly a thousand nominations after rounds of intensive screening, research, and evaluation.
